Jade is definitely worth adding to the list, as others have pointed out.

Are Hop Drop cans available in the Raleigh-area? I saw somewhere else that they were at Beer Study in CH sometimes, but is that all?

what is the point your are trying to make besides being negative nancy on a otherwise appreciative thread?...NC Brewing is still in its infancy compared to the west coast..I feel fortunate to have access to the hometown breweries we have as well as all the awesome out of state stuff that's distributed here. We get the best of both worlds IMO

Not sure if they still have them, but Bottle Revolution brought some in.

Went to noda and they had a BA HDnR. Very tasty. If you are into e area, go get you some. Also had "drop dead gorgeous". An excellent imperial pumpkin ale. The aroma is just amazing. They got a nice list leftover from the 2 year anniv party.

Not just any BA HDnR! It was a BBA Imperial HDnR. Man, it was delicious... So was the BBA NodaRyez and the Rum BA Imperial Coco Loco. Best anniversary party ever.

My wife just picked up a 4-pack of Hop Drop and a growler of Coco Loco at the Bestway in G'boro. Definitely looking forward to trying them both after reading this thread

This beer is really good and definitely stand out among lots of other IPA's not only from NC, but from across the United States. Most definitely will purchase more soon as I find some!

HD&R is definately one of my current favorite IPA's, not just NC IPA's, but IPA's in general. NoDa is doing great things.

*and really looking forward to CoCo Loco in cans soon.

I'd also have to mention Iron Rail from Wedge too, a worthy IPA, and French Broad which IMO is a Hop Devil clone. Still HDR is a world class Ipa and compete with anyone and not have to apologize.

Those are good IPA's also, although those two fit my fundamental argument with NC breweries lacking recognition is availability and packaging, which is why I think Hop Drop easily out does the others in the IPA category. This subject is a whole different topic.

But yes, HDR is a world class IPA
