http://www.hopjacks.net/locations Apparently we're getting one of these in Spokane soon. No reviews of any of the locations on BA, which I'm guessing means they're pretty unmemorable. Has anyone been to one of these?
I've driven by the one in Bonney Lake several times as I've driven to and from Mount Rainier. I looked at their website once just to get a sense of the place --- the picture of the beer in the frosted mug and their declaration that they have "The Coldest Beer in Town" led me to conclude that it's probably not a place I'd want to hang. Plus their beer menu states that Lagunitas IPA uses 43 different hops and 65 various malts. LOL.
Cold beer, yes! Great selection on draft, NO! If you want a really cold BMC or an occasional nice surprise of a seasonal Micro(like Jubel) go during happy hour and you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for something other than that, forget it, you will not be happy. Great fish tacos by the way, you can get the fish grilled instead of fried for what its worth.
A quick read of their website and some other searches reveals that HopJacks was started by former Red Robin guys. Not slamming Red Robin, but they aren't exactly known for their beer selection.
I have one about 5 minutes from me here in Maple Valley. Saw the tap list and laughed. Asked if they had growler fills (not that I really wanted anything but hey it could come in handy) and it took 4 people to answer my question. Call me a snob but I see no reason to give them my money.
