It is a seasonal. I bought some this year the first time I saw it which was March. So maybe a Februrary/March time frame.

I'll second February. I guess it depends on the market, but I got mine last year then and pretty sure I heard something to that effect for this coming release as well.

 

If you want some, I will set up a trade when it comes out.. I am sure there are some California IPAs I would want. Maybe one or two. Right?

 

Is this available in Pittsburgh? If so, is it difficult to get?

 

Yes. I had a friend get me some and then he told UPS it was beer so I never got it. Ugh.

He stood in line the day it was released and I don't know if it sold out the same day or not so I can't comment on difficulty.

 

Thanks. I have relatives in Pittsburgh that grab some Head Hunter for me periodically. It's now my favorite IPA.

I don't think I'd ask them to stand in line for a beer though. Heck, even I don't do that.

 

I had it in August in Ohio. They had just brewed it for the GABF. Amazing stuff!

 

Hop Juju was not that hard to find earlier this year when it came out - at least not here in NE Ohio.....one of the best DIPA's I have had! Looking forward to the 2015 batch!
There is a reason it won a GOLD medal in the 2013 GABF!!

 

It should be reasonable available in Pittsburgh without waiting in line so long as Fatheads produces it in the same quantity as last year. Last year was the first year they released it in bottles so I'm not sure if there is a set release window yet.

 

I like it a lot and we usually get a bunch in my area....I didn't realize it was hard to come by, I'll have some for trade I'm sure this spring

 

Think I saw a few cases peppered at less popular distributors two or three weeks after the initial release, this past February. Not sure about Ohio, but if you in Pittsburgh and want it first day, then you're probably standing in line at the saloon and buying up your limit of four packs.

 

I believe it was on tap back in February (perhaps earlier in the month as there was definitely snow in the parking lot...but that can be anytime between October and March in that area). I've never picked any up in the stores, but I imagine it hits shelves around the same timeframe.

I was drinking this and GLBC Chillwave around the same time.

 

I was able to get 2 cases in addition to a couple four packs from various places. Just gotta call around.

 

Does anyone know if this is available in the NE Indiana region (ft. Wayne, in particular)? I'm a big fan of head hunter IPA, which is usually available, and I've seen bumbleberry and Oktoberfest, but I've never seen hop juju.
