has anybody in the northeast planted there hop rhizomes yet? If not when do you plan on doing so? If you have planted them before what strains have grown well for you?

I got mine last year. I think I planted them end of March / early April. I think I started getting some bines popping up around mid-may.
THis year they started popping about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it's a good sign for a crop.
I think it's right about time they get in the ground, maybe even a touch late.

I will be planting my rhizomes this weekend pending a good forecast. This last weekend was a touch cold here in CT, but rhizomes are rather hardy given you're not dealing with freezing temperatures and all... Best of luck!

I have three rhizomes on the way, all different varieties that (supposedly, lol) handle warm weather well. We'll see which ones grow and how well they grow. I've been reading about how to take care of them and I think our plan will give them a fair shot. And if they don't work out, it wasn't very expensive anyway.
