Next week? If I recall correctly, it's always in mid to late January. Then we sometimes get a second round of shipments a few weeks or so later.
I think I'll pass this year. The price for a 6 pack at Total Wine was $16.99, then $19.99, then $21.99 and last year it was $23.99. I'm not the sucker who'll play along anymore, especially when there are so many great DIPA alternatives out there. You guys have fun.
BevMo had it around $17.99 For some reason Total Wine raised price compared to previous years, almost as high as small local places. Part of me can't blame them since the local places get away with it, and it will all sell out.
Well, I'm not sure it's a matter of the local places "getting away with it". They don't have the luxury of volume that the big guys do. In general it seems that I've seen Total Wine's prices increasing over the last year or two. It seems maybe they came into town with the intent to completely undercut Bevmo (at times they were even cheaper than Costco for things like Makers Mark) in order to gain a foothold, and have since inched their pricing upward.
Papago put it out last night. They expect it to be fine by the end of the day today. For reference, 6-pack was 19.50, they have singles too.
So far I have seen it at Whole Foods North Scottsdale and Camelback, Ground Control in Litchfield, City Wine and Spirits, Craft Beer Hop Shop in Phoenix, Sundevil liquors, and Liquor Express. On tap too at quite a few places. I have not seen it yet at the large stores like Bevmo and Total Wine yet.
