Hop Stoopid used to be one of the best bombers to buy. <$5 for a bomber of great beer was always ok by me. However, everywhere in Boston/Cambridge that I have gone recently, I haven't seen one for less than $6.50, and many for $7+. The rest of Lagunita's lineup hasn't seemed to increase, anyone know what gives? Just stores wising up to how popular this beer is and now jacking up prices? Anyone know where it's still in the sub-$5 range?

Sounds like good ol' capitalism, pretty sure Lag hasn't raised their prices since it's still $4.50 everywhere out here on the best coast.

Still around $4 in Santa Rosa. Sounds like the store/distributor doing it, not Lagunitas.

That's insane and I'm incredibly jealous. I can find it for $6.75 but I've seen it for as much as $8.99 in Boston.

$4.99 tp $5.49 in the northern suburbs of NYC. And don't put all of the blame on the stores. There are distributors who realize how popular it is as well.

Why would you expect anything less? The Boston area does not offer good value when it comes to beer. Even Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada are $2 - $3 higher per six pack than most of the rest of the country. Every limited offering by SN is also a good $4 - $5 per bottle - and lingers on the shelves, so it has little to do with demand in my opinion. Can't imagine BRUX being a big seller at $17/btl.

I see it for $3.99-$4.99 in Chicagoland, never above $5 though. Sounds like you are getting gouged.
