    Never see it fresh, it will come in with two months on it. $5.99 and my local store has very solid prices, so I do wonder if the distributor bumps the prices.

    Are they dating their bottles yet? I used to buy this beer until I developed my IPA tastes (they didn't date in the past) and I stopped buying it. Any more at bottle shops I always pass this one up (as much as I enjoyed it, not going to roll the dice no matter what the price is).

    Well it is still 4.50 here in Chicago and soon to be very very fresh when they build there expansion brewery here early 2013

    They've been julian dating for as long as I've been buying the beer. It's on the neck and in dark ink; hard to see. I'm always the wacko at the grocery store holding bombers up to the fluorescent lighting...but that's what it takes. Seems like the day it comes in it is already 2 months old here...and for some reason the bottle labels are always torn up.

    I'll need to start looking closer for the date and I find myself doing the same thing when it comes to IPA's. I've been burned so many times with Hop Stoopid that I crossed it off my list and pass over it each and every time, I need to give it another chance because there's been some fresh bottles that I've had in the past and it's wonderful.

    still 4.99 in CT, as with all other Lagunitas bombers. Green Flash Imperial can be had for 6.99. Mass hole likes to upcharge on beer.

    Same here, fresh it's great, but...... which is why I usually buy Caldera/Modus/Two Hearted, never had a bad one of those.

    Necromancing this thread to say that I saw it priced at $8.69 today at a local store. Nah, Boston area's not getting screwed on bombers or anything....

    Geeze, wish they had deals like that around here when I was in High school/College. We were always broke and the quality of our beers showed it.
