$5.99 here... It's a steal in these parts. Usually fresh too...

Picked up a bottle the other day only a few weeks old for $4.35. I'm drinking it now, and I'd gladly pay it again!

I've noticed it has been pretty fresh around here as of late. i.e. 2-3 weeks old

After reading the replies my first thought was wondering who has been drinking hop stoopid for the past 2-3 years without moving on to more interesting beer, but now I figure maybe I just need to try it again!

It's so expensive in MA that I've honestly only had a single one. It was the only one I've ever seen even modestly fresh. It was aggressively forgetable. Sometimes beer is as good as freshness dictates. I will never buy this beer here again.

I interpreted him to mean, basically, "ya get what ya pay for". Sure, it's not an expensive beer, and, it shouldn't be. Not that it's terrible (it's never pushed my buttons when I've had it), just doesn't stand up to other brews.

Yes I've had Lagunitas in the past, taste great and their beers have great price points however after Tony decided to sue Sierra Nevada I decided in principal not to support Lagunitas.

Talk about a thread title and reality being on different planets. 3 years after thread started and Hop Stoopid prices haven't increased, and it is still the best value IIPA bomber on the market

I don't have problems finding it, nor have I seen it for more than ~$5. Finding it fresh? Stoopid difficult...

Going price averages around $4.50 to $5.50 here in Georgia. Six pack it , that way you can rotate it in and save it for a rainey day like today. Can it in 12 packs, Id pay 20 bucks for it. I wont buy it if it goes to $6.99 or higher, so used to it starting at $3.99 and gradually going up.

Ah, now I understand. There had to be something ulterior to what you wrote; on the surface it didn't really square. Great taste + great value = never buy. Huh? I agree that was a regrettable decision, but at the same time I realized I couldn't know exactly what had transpired between SN and Lagunitas up to that point. Things have a tendency to be more complicated than they appear from the outside. Moreover, although it took several hours of public shaming, Mr. Magee dropped the suit, and called it his worst day in the industry. Everybody makes mistakes. But not everybody listens to others, accepts that they were wrong so quickly, and admits it publicly.

we charge $7 for it at out shop. All of our beers have the same mark up unless its something akin to Cantillon or another extremely rare beer.

Wow. The OP said bottles were $7 back in 2012. I still haven't paid more than $5 (and wont). Some places are still $4

Agreed, but I would still rather see it in 6 packs (even if it meant Sucks went back to 32oz bottles). Their 6 packs are about $0.13/ oz vs. Hop Stoopid bombers at roughly $0.23/oz.
