Hey guys! My friend has asked for suggestions for putting together a hophead care package mix of beers. This will be a gift to the Bachelorette, not for the party itself. I have a few in mind, but think I may lean a little too hard on the DIPA side. Some specific criteria: needs to be locally available now in Wisconsin as I’m taking my friend to a local bottle shop tomorrow (Discount Liquor) and I’m looking for 5 varieties.

    Here’s some of the candidates:
    Ale Asylum – Bedlam
    Tyranena - Bitter Woman
    Three Floyds – Dreadnaught
Bell’s – The Oracle (if available)
    Bell’s – Two Hearted
    Oskar Blues - G'Knight
    Oskar Blues – Deviant
    Weyerbacher – Simcoe
    Founders - Centennial

So pick your 5 from my list, your own 5 or mix and match.

    Thanks,
    Jason

P.S. mods feel free to move to local if that's your preference.

Doubt you'll be able to get Oracle.

    Here's what I'd do:
    Two Hearted
    Summit EPA or Saga
FFF--Dreadnaught/Alpha King (can't imagine you'd be able to get Zombie Dust)
New Glarus--find something of theirs that is fresh and go with it
    SN--Torpedo and/or Hoptimum

Yup, think Dreadnaught & 2 Hearted are sure things. I also think Bedlam for sure since it's got uniqueness from the rest of the list. Think Saga was good at a great price, but didn't blow me away. NG IIPA is a consideration, but wasn't in love with that. Torpedo is a consideration, and Hoptimum would be a sure thing if I wasn't concerned about freshness.

I love the cause! I'd overnight you some Pliny's...that is of course, if I had some. Sorry.
