Hoponius Union!

Received Hoponius as an extra, thanks to Portia99! It was a great beer, that I had never heard of.

 

I think this is the best Massachusetts beer, definitely.

It is one of the better ones, but not the best depending palate.

 

I think it's great, and at a nice price, too - especially since those heavy bottles have to be costing them some coin to buy and ship. I'd love to be able to get this off the shelf in 64 oz growlers like Berkshire or Opa-Opa.

 

Stopped by Jack's Abby last night... a monthly ritual for me. I also really like their Smoke and Dagger... they had barrel aged a couple batches of it, one with chipotle peppers and one with peanuts. Brought home a growler of the chipotle. They just installed 3 more shiny new tanks last week, supposed to increase production by 60%.

 

I was starting to think this little local beer might get lassoed onto the hype train and get requests from BAs across country.
