Looking to acquire some BORIS Van Wink as I'm a Hoppin' Frog BORIS / DORIS fan and it's one of the few I haven't tried.

What were / are these trading for? I've tried the IP trade but I'm in Massachusetts and nobody has one locally they want to trade.

I have BCBCS '14 and some vintage BCBCS ('11 and '12 bombers). Not sure what to offer up or what has been successful. I have access to the local New England IPAs that are all the rage, too.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It came out a while ago and was delicious when fresh. I had it again after some time had gone by and thought it was just good. I think 3x BCBCS for 1 Van Wink would be fair, or at least I would do that. Maybe even 2x BCBCS plus a regular BCBS. (Unfortunately, I only trade in person. But hit me up if you're ever around Columbus, OH!)

    Good luck!

It's drinking amazing right now. They just had it on tap at their taproom. As some one who got a lot of bottles, I only have 1 left and I'm definitely saving it for a special occasion. Ohioans have that stupid ABV cap, so BCBCS is always desirable, but personally, I value it higher than BCBCS. I think it's a fair idea though.

Bairille Aois BORIS and BORIS #200 are great too. First one is heavy on the chocolate and BORIS #200 drinks like BCBS with less sugary sweetness and more bourbon.

I feel BORIS and DORIS are every bit as good as their BCBS brothers. They're heavy and balanced. Have a #200 in my cellar but no Bairille Aois. Boris Royale I have as well. Van Wink has escaped me.

I appreciate all the feedback and have a 'feeler' out for 1 now. Will post in the ISO thread. Will likely expand the trade as when I ship, I like to make it worth everyone's time...

Good luck! I wish had an extra for you and some of their obscure beers (Infusion series). I'm still waiting for them to release an Infusion series (beers brewed to replicate their popular Tower Tuesday infusions) BORIS/DORIS. I would love to see a Mexican style or vanilla BORIS/DORIS. I think that would be fantastic.

Also, Van Wink sold out within 2-3 hours on Black Friday in 2013. I can't remember the bottle count, but it was a 1 case limit. I forgot to include that in my original post.

Coconut would be worth crossing the street for too...

I have an Infusion A - or the Peanut Butter one. Pretty sure that's what it is. They're on the right track at Hoppin' Frog, just need to perfect that customer service stuff. We get Hoppin' Frog out here in Massachusetts, just don't get the crazy one-offs. Never saw the Bourbon Barrel Pumpkin either for that matter this year. Was a favorite of mine last year.

Infusion A is fantastic! I had my last one awhile ago. I wish I had more.

They did not brew BA Frosted Frog this year from my understanding. They get a lot of shit for their prices, but I don't experience that. I'm pretty sure all of their one-off stouts have been $16. More than fair for a fantastic BA stout bomber.
