Having a tasting with some friends and was wondering if I should add another RIS to the list. Any suggestions on order of these 3? I wish Founders IS was out sooner...

I'd encourage adding BORIS Royale if you can.

They're all good, but perhaps you should limit the RIS to BORIS and BA BORIS.
Don't you have another style you want to taste?

FYI, DORIS is my personal favorite. Best combination of roast, hop, dark fruit, carbonation, viscosity, etc imo.

DORIS is excellent, as are all the others. Close your eyes and pick one?

I'm with Ben on this one. They're all excellent, just randomly pick one.

I just tried Clown Shoes' Blaecorn Unidragon tonight. It was fine and hid the 12% really well, but I still prefer BORIS and DORIS to this. If I had to choose DORIS would win out for me.

Thanks. Just wanted to limit it to these to see the differences between them. Haven't done a single style tasting ever, or a single brewery tasting.

Not to threadjack, but I am planning a similar tasting of all these and am trying to find a BORIS #100 as well. Anyone have one they are willing to trade?

What more do ya need? 3 killer RIS'! Depending on people coming, and bottles available... I'd be happy sticking with these 3!

do a side by side of the 3 and then move on to something else (different, I'd suggest something sour to cleanse that palate) if those aren't enough...

I think it is really hard to find because it has brewed only once.

It would be a good idea, because then you can compare those better.

I would recommend basic Founders BS.

I'd add Great Divide Yeti and possibly some of it's variants way before FBS.

Per OP's desire to have a tasting of beers in the same style, FBS would probably be better at another tasting with Peche Mortel, Speedway Stout, WnB, etc.

I was at the Brewery about a month ago and I think they still had some there. I might be mistaken though. I can check for you next week when I am out that way.
