Sounds about right for a restaurant/bar markup.

Apologies for the picture wasnt really on the best of terms with the midget you runs the place when was trying to snap a pic.
Point being.....beer is ment to be shared not price *****!

3 Floyd's catches hell all the time for high prices in there rare beers, but at least they are top notch.

$70/ea for a naked evil bomber!
That owner Fred, needs to get a clue!

I agree. Locals may not pay that. Out of towners will. I speak from experience while traveling (cable car comes to mind). Along with a pretty hefty price tag for a 2007 BA Decadence at another place where I was willing to throw down.

Ya, I dont find this really that offensive. All those big sh*t bars in Scandinavia (akkarut, mikkeller bar, etc) all have cellar lists with astronomical prices but this idiot out-of-towner paid it for one bottle. Is it at least aged, I can't see the picture that well?

They are aged, I think most - or all are 2011 bottles. As a local, I too think the prices are outrageous. They weren't rare beers by any means. They were all distributed - shelf beers. That being said, I also agree with the others who say "who cares". If someone (out of towner or not) decides they want to buy or try one? Go for it. If they see that no one will buy any I'm sure the prices will drop.

If I pay 60-70 for a beer, i promise it will not be a hoppin' frog.

They were a bit steep for shelf-prices, i'm not going to pay 3-5 times more for an older <12% beer. I like their beer just fine, but sheesh.

Hair of the Dog has cellared bottles that are more expensive. It's pretty common. At least they're offering you the option to try something that hasn't been released in a couple years, even if it's overpriced.

You could always brew your own beer, start a brewery, put your financial well being on the line based on your success at makin a product people will want to buy and then sell the beer at a lower price...you can hate on Fred but he isn't forcing you to buy the beer.

They added a lot more "rare" bottles. 08 - 12 DORIS at reasonable prices among others.
