What are some good IPA/DIPA bottles or cans that a friend could bring back to western PA from New Haven?
New England Brewing Sea Hag IPA can usually be found everywhere. Their Gandhi Bot DIPA is usually harder to find but a good find. Same with Ithaca Flower Power, usually harder to find. Charter Oak 1687 is a nice brown ale with some bitterness to it if thats your thing, not exactly an IPA. Also Sixpoint Bengali Tiger/Resin can be found. Everything else can be pretty much found elsewhere as CT is usually the last on the list for getting new beers.
Just a quick heads up: Not much avail. as far as Gandhi-Bot and Flower Power go. FP is on the way back(nothing yet),and hasn't been around in 2-3 months. Same for G-Bot. A new batch is on the way I believe,but don't think your friend will be able to grab some fresh this time around. PA. gets a lot of distro that we get,so I am not sure off the top of the head what you might be interested in. Cheers
You can check out Berkshire Brewing they make some good beers but nothing I would consider hoppy goodness

I will be another voice in the Galaxy PA camp. Incredible beer. Does Ghandi-bot rock? Absolutely. However, Galaxy just screams citrus goodness without the high abv and polishing off a growler or 2 with friends won't require a cab call.
had some Galaxy PA at Willibrew tonight. It's delicious for sure! NEB has been killing everyting of late. Couldnt be more proud of CT brewers right now because of it
