Yes, but not at the sacrifice of what is currently available

I love SN Hoppy Lager. Every brewer could make one and I'd be happy. Make'em all year too. Bring'em on!

I've only had one, Ballast Point Fathom IPL, it was good, I enjoyed it, but I would not buy it on a regular basis.

Only had one IPL and it was magic hats dream machine. I did not care for it and honestly it was hard to drink. But i enjoy Nooner and The Crisp so id try more. Wish i couldve tried SN hoppy lager.

I generally dont like them, they are super sticky on the tongue from lack of malt. Sometimes it's okay like SNs beercamp but I'd rather have a straight up crisp lager like Summerfest.

We have enough hoppy things. Can't the malt people have a moral victory?

If they were on par with stuff like Mass Rising and Prima Pils, hell yeah.

I had a very nice Stillwater Mono the other day. Great stuff. Yacht was also good. Modern Times is making some competent stuff in this turf as well.

I prefer lower ibu's with lager yeast so I won't be buying any IPL's anytime soon.

I really do not care for the hoppy lagers or for the imperial pale lagers either. I would not like more of them please.

More, but not into IPA territory. Quality lagers with a strong hop flavor presence, such as Prima Pils, would be quite appreciated.

If it means more pilsners, then sure.

This thread starts and ends with SN canning Beer Camp hoppy lager. Go ahead and can Hop Hunter while you're at it.

Didn't see Trendler Pils or Lager mentioned? Where'd they fit in the hoppy spectrum?

I greatly enjoyed drinking the pint of Tired Hands Trendler Pils that I had. To my palate it was similar to other local SEPA Pilsners from a hopping level perspective: beers like Sunshine Pils, Trauger Pils, Prima Pils, etc.

    Cheers!

I have never found a hoppy lager anything incredible and I find they take on weird aroma's and flavors with the combination of lager yeast and hop. Honestly, pilsners and other lagers seem to be just grand as traditional no mosaic double dry hopping needed.

Lagers that may be hoppier than style guidelines? Sure. Generally speaking, I don't mind those at all. IPLs, on the other hand, I can do without. That fad has already worn out its welcome with me. It was a nice novelty and was fun to try a few but that's it. I don't need lagers pretending to be IPAs. Almost every example of this new style inevitably ends up muting most, if not all, lager characteristics in favor of a hop assault.

Finally got the Trendler Lager at the Fridge the other evening. Nice, well balanced beer. Not hoppy.
