Are hops the "frosting?" (Interesting analogy.) Are you saying you can't taste any hops in well-made lagers?

No, just that I like a lot of hops in a beer, and I've never had a lager that had strong hop flavor or aroma. Sounds like I need to try Jack's Abbey. I almost picked up a six pack of noble pils today, but the price tag seemed to be 14.00!? Is that possible?

Lots of Pilsner's are very hoppy. I have had Dortmunders that have plenty of hops as well. Not to mention the American "Imperial Pilsner." I am enjoying the hell of of Hops & Grain Zoe lately. An excellent Pale Lager with a big hop character.

New Belgium shift is a pretty hop forward lager. Give it a try!

I am not anti Noble Pils but permit me to recommend: Sly Fox Pikeland Pils, Troegs Sunshine Pils, Victory Prima Pils, and Stoudts Pils. They are all hoppy pilsners that you might enjoy.

    Cheers!

Hoponius Union is good, I think their double IPL ABC's is better
