I was wondering if any of you know of a place to get hop bines. I am looking for full grown bines with flowers. I am having an August (hop season!) wedding and would like to incorporate the bines into the decorations as arbor and railing cover, and some cones for the tables. The cones I think I can order online or get at a home brew shop where I live in Seattle. We are getting a quote from a florist soon but if I could just go someplace and pick them up it would be great! The wedding will be in the Portland area.

    Any thoughts would be helpful

    Thanks

You could grow your own. You probably won't have a ton of flowers or cones in August, but the vines should be pretty good size by then.

What day in August is the wedding? This place shows they should have them available by mid August. They might have some available sooner though if you're looking at early August. Two Beers got their Centennial hops from this place last year at the end of July. http://www.hopsdirect.com/vines/

That's the one place I was looking at to get them. The date is 8/21. I might give them a call to see about availability/durability. Maybe I can go pick them up if they will stay fresh looking for a few days. One good thing about being close to all the hops farms!

    Thanks

Hops looks so cool as a fancy flower. There will be hops in the bouquet and on the guys pins. I actually thought it would be somewhat original but a quick google shows lots of people have done it.
