Staying near Monks Cafe for the weekend but am more of a hophead than a Belgian fan. Any recommendations for pubs/restaurants in the immediate area with some hops on tap? Thanks!

Monk's is actually a fairly reliable destination for ipas. More often than not they have Pliny the Elder and/or Blind Pig on tap, plus they usually have a notable (rare-ish) ipa on their lines, such as Stone Enjoy By last month. Perhaps not hot items if you are from California, but they are big deals here.

I would check PhillyTapFinder for their list on Friday, and I suspect you will see quite a few brews that will satisfy your hop tooth. Right now their list is a bit lacking on ipas, but they turn over kegs quickly; they'll have a very different list by the weekend.

I was at Monks a few weeks ago and they had blind pig on tap... Also may want to check out eulogy in old city I was there around the same time and they had PtE on tap there as well....I would call both to scope out if they have RR on tap. Both have huge beer lists.

funny how some come to Philly to drink beer trucked in from Cali! There are some very hoppy beers brewed right here in the "Fertile Crescent".

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Trust me, I'd rather be in San Diego drinking beer but when in Philly, why not look for good beers? Any locals that I shouldn't miss? (I am partial to Victory- got by there in November)

Troegs is a great PA beer. Perpetual IPA is a great choice if you like hops

Echoing some of the other responses, Tired Hands in Ardmore is well worth a trip to the suburbs.
