My son just brought ~5 lb. of Chinook over that need to be dried....stuck 1/2 of them in 2 frameless window screens I stapled together on 3 sides...the other half are still in open cardboard boxes. I'll turn them often and hope the 8-15% humidity does the trick in 2 or 3 days.

Well all said and done here too. After drying I have 1.5oz.... it looks like it should be more...

I harvested everything earlier than usual this year. They were ready or beyond ready, as I was gone for a week to see the eclipse. So I left the brown ones on the bine.

It was a cold and wet March and April. The bines were slow to start and did not grow as much as usual. Yield was way down. Other homebrewers have reported the same in our area.

These are mine in my allotment at the moment - i harvested my first plant last year on the 17th of september, so it looks like it'll be similar. We've had a rubbish summer, something like the worst in 80 years, but they seem to have done allright.

The centennial needs another couple of weeks, I suspect if I get any hops from it, I'll be harvesting in october

Second year hallertau mittelfruh - It goes up about 6 foot, then up another foot or so over 12 foot length to the top of the shed. Seems to have worked fairly well, it's in a pot

cutting from this year from that plant - this one is in the ground, I'm growing it in a Y along the back fence

I'm at 5 oz dry so far with probably another 5 to come next week.

I need to do a better job of trimming next year. Plants started spreading this years so I ended up having a mixture of bines woven together. Luckily centennial, cascade, and chinook play well together so an unknown mixture shouldn't be a big deal.
