I think that thread said those are shipping dates, so probably add a week for it to start popping up.

Yep, those are shipping dates, it was def not trying to predict exactly when they will show up in that many states/stores.

Yawn...not buying any this year, not on any lists, shipped 4 of the 6 bottles I got last year to my friends in NJ, very underwhelmed last year and I'm over the hype surrounding this beer, it's just not that good.

You got a bad bottle. It's the best there is. Everyone says so.

This beer used to be so awesome. I am not suggesting the recipe changed but that brewers have up'd their game in the IPA and IIPA department. I am not sure it is worth the hassle or $$$ anymore with the options we have available.

Disagree, I still think Hopslam is fantastic, and remains one of my favorite beers. It is a pain in the ass to get though. So I hope more people share your opinion, and/or they ship more to SC this year.

Only on tap last year and really nothing special, this isn't nearly the same brew I loved 7-8 years ago. I can get better local ipas to be honest and not spend that kinda money. I'd still grab one if I catch it on tap, ya never know.

I'm going to give this a try again this year, I recall thinking that it didn't live up to the hype in 2013, passed on it last year, so we'll see...it should be on the shelves in Greenville this coming week

I'm going to agree with a lot of the neighsayers on 2014 Hopslam. I've been a huge fan for years, but I actually returned one of my two six packs I bought last year because I was so unhappy with it.

Exactly. I enjoyed it quite a bit the first time I tried it 4 or 5 years ago, but I've been underwhelmed since. There are a number of other IPAs that I enjoy more being brewed in my own backyard.

While I'm positive the recipe has changed - it's hard to keep anything exactly the same for 5-10 years - I think it's more likely that peoples' tastes and preferences have changed than Hopslam being "bad". The number of IPAs/DIPAs in the past 5 years have exponentially increased. Everyone's game has improved, and as a result you've had a ton of stuff you enjoy more than Hopslam. When you go back to it for the nostalgia, it just isn't there because your tastes have moved on.

I guess the point is, don't blame Bells or Hopslam because you don't like that beer anymore. There's nothing wrong with getting tired of a beer or liking other beers better.

I drank one in November (Bottled July) and it was terrible. I can't imagine what it tastes like now.
