Hopslam 2015

Yeah, the price this year is ridiculous. One sixer is enough for me this year. Hopslam was one of my all time favorites a few years ago, but that was also when it was 12.99. 6-7 years later, same recipie, and $10 more per six....makes me sad

 

Oh like you want me to tell you about the spot I stopped by last night that had Backwoods Bastard, BA Narwhal, and BCBS? Yeah not going to happen.

Anyone seen it yet in south florida? Palm beach/broward area?

 

Still not in SE VA, it's a shame once it get in, it will likely be 4-5 weeks old. I'm not saying "oh a 5 week old IPA is terrible" but freshness helps and yesterday I picked up a sixer of Nugget Nectar bottled barely over a week ago. I know NN is a little easier to come by, but still...

 

Completely agree. I am drinking NN bottled on 1/20.

Based on the volume we got last year, I think Backwoods Bastard is going to be available year-round in Macon. Not complaining.

 

I just picked up Hopslam in Macon yesterday and it was dated 1/17. 3 weeks old is reasonable enough for me. This year's seems less sweet than last year, which I would say is a good thing.

 

I'm assuming at Just Tap'd? I picked up a six at Just Tap'd in Warner Robins yesterday as well. Same date.

 

If you're dying for an expensive bottle to watch a movie with, they have it at Midtown Arts Cinema

Yeah, picked mine up at Just Tap'd because they were selling 6ers. Growler Spot has a 2 bottle limit. Carriage Hills Bottle Shoppe and Ocmulgee Traders in Macon also have it in stock.

FYI...Hopslam has landed in boyton beach total. About 12 cases. $22.99 a six pack. One six per person

We don't live in Michigan. it didn't even hit most Michigan stores until 2 weeks of the bottling date. It hasn't turned to pumpkin juice just yet. A month is still perfectly fine

 

Bought a six pk at TW Naples yesterday with a bottle date of 1/19. Not too bad.

 

If the concept of 3 week old beer brewed at the opposite end of the country is appalling, then we have failed as a society.
