You sir get another Gold Star!!

You are just killing it lately.

That is exactly what the breweries do with their year round beers - they blend batches of beer. When you blend a bit of batch A and batch B with batch C you 'even out' the flavor profile.

In a very old thread Bill Manley discussed some of the specifics on this topic within the context of their flagship beer of SNPA. If my memory serves me properly he made mention that towards the end of the hop season (e.g., the summer after the fall harvest) it gets to be particularly challenging since the whole hops they use are starting to 'turn' a bit and they need to be crafty in there brewing then.

    Cheers!

I have to take back my wining and and give the good folks at Bells some kudos. They said last yr they switched to cans in order to get this shit out as quickly as possible. Last year mine was about two weeks old at purchase. This year purchased 1/20, canned 1/16. Nice job!!

1.) The place near we received only one case and was sold out in an hour...

2.) I understand why they do....but, I hate when they sell it by the can...especially for $5 per...

How is a pint better price than by the six pack? Less than $3.50 a can. Pints here....well 12-14 oz pints are $8 plus. I pass due to the price but don't buy it out either. Last time I had a chance to buy it I walked away at $22 a six.

    Enjoy

Just picked up a six pack. Can anyone make out the date that is stamped on the bottom of the cans? Mine doesn't make much sense. It seems to be cut off. I see .../12/17?? If that means 01/12/17, I'm thinking I got a six pack that's 10 days out from canning here in NY? First time ever I've seen Hopslam here. Can't wait to try it!

It is not a better price value-wise, it's just easier for me to justify spending around $7 or $8 for a single serving than around $20 on six servings. I would rather not spend that much on a six pack. If they were selling singles @ $4 though? Sure, I'd buy one. Maybe.

    Cheers

In the cesspool of Long Island stores have opened the 6 packs and are charging $5 a can....deplorable....there should be a law.

A shop in Allentown (yes, Allentown) was charging $6 a can yesterday. I laughed then saw their $300 bottle of Utopias, that didn't even come with the glass and laughed a bit more. Gotta pay that high end, big city rent I suppose

Glad I only bought one can ($3). Not worth it, I am enjoying the fresh Hop Stoopid way better. Another overrated Bell's.

A few of my co-workers left and picked up a 6er each today. I was tempted to get another, but my bottle shop sent me a message that they're holding a 6er for me. While I love it, I don't think I'll be going out of my way for two 6ers. Now if I happen to find another in my weekly shop loop, that's a different story

Super excited to be sipping on this again!

It's more expensive in other states due to transportation costs, different taxes by state and other variables. We are around $18.99/$19.99 / 6 pack here.
