I spent the last four years at school in Michigan, so finding Hopslam was never a challenge.

Now that I am back in the Baltimore/DC area, I am concerned about finding a decent supply.

In past years, what has the Hopslam distribution to DC been like in terms of number of stores, bottle limits, and how long it lasts on the shelves?

Seriously though, plenty of stores get a good amount, total wines and whole foods, but they still often sell out within hours. Ive seen limits in NOVA anywhere from a sixer to a case.

El Zilcho is right. The beer is available in the DC area, but my experience is that supplies are limited and it sell out fast. Personally, I've taken to buying HS up in the Harrisburg area. The distributor there seems to get a pretty decent supply, and prices are much more reasonable than what you have to pay in the DC area. If you don't want to have to buy it by the case (from the distributor - this is Pa. after all), you can buy 6 packs at the local Wegmans. Also, it's much easier to find the beer on tap up that way as well. Good luck!

Expect to pay minimum $24 for a sixer.

It doesn't sell out THAT fast. If you pay attention to when it's released, you can find it pretty easily. It usually stays on shelves for a couple of days when it's first released. Then a second shipment usually drops a month later and no one cares, and it sits on shelves for a few weeks.

Damn that is pricey. I live in PA but I think it was $18 for a sixer.

In my experience the past couple years, limits have been a sixer or 2 and have cost ~$20 each, this is in NoVA.

It will be in NoVA in early to mid February, around $20 for a six-pack.
