    "six packs for $25"

    Ouch!

I think I will stick with Nugget Nectar.

    Non-cheers to this price.

Yeah it's at foodery for like 29 a six. Lowest I've heard of is the 25 at WF. And I agree sticking to the nugget nectar. Hopslam is pretty good but not for that price.

Trenton Road Takeout has them so long as you are one of the 96 people on their list.

Bought two 6-packs around 1pm today at Collegeville Wegmans. Paid $45 for both ... not too bad. The guy said they got about 20-25 cases.

Also got three 6-packs of Nugget Nectar.

Exton Bev had it too (six pack size). It looked like they were in the middle of converting most of the store to smaller package sizes. It makes sense that they copy NJ/DE stores who probably have the most efficient model since they have been selling any size forever.

These beers should be able to find much easier now since distributors who always got their share now have 4X the amount (six pack vs case) to sell as before.

Update: had a can. I kind of knew this would happen, but man this is just not that amazing. And it's a total rip off for the price. I don't think the recipe has changed - I think my palate has changed. It's the same way that Pliny just doesn't do it for me any more. Evolving palates are such an interesting thing - it's what makes this journey through craft beer so compelling! But yeah: adios, Hopslam, you old whale...time to go back to sea, I shall hunt for thee no more.

Having one now. Just nine days since canninga and first one in two years. Brings me back to working for a client in Lansing and enjoying it on tap all the time. I still love it, but it doesn't blow my mind like it used to. It's solid, but not at the top of my list anymore.

Over the last year or so I got to try Heady , Tired Hands Big Dream Sypathetic, and Lagunitas Waldo and those were just incredible. I don't know enough to understand why I like them so much more, but it is what it is.

Bit the bullet and picked up a six pack myself, kinda trying to go into it with a new perspective. Also you don't need to know anything more than what your senses are telling you, that those other beers you had had more aroma and flavor with a smoother mouthfeel while probably also being more complex. I don't think it's some secret trick to these newer beers, Bell's and others could easily put out variants that were comparable to the lupulin shift heading the other way.
