Hopslam in DC/MD/NoVa

any word on TW Mclean?

 

Got to Bro..thats how we roll in NOVA. You blink and it will be sold out in no time. 10 cases at Norms are already gone.

 

ha yes it does sound crazy but its a good time. We crack a few beers while we wait and enjoy the company. In case you are wondering we all have jobs working the nighttime shift so we head on over after that. Will probably do the same thing for KBS in a few months if you are interested.

 

Got 2-six packs at Arrowine, they sent an email saying it was here and would go fast, I work downtown, just left a meeting, checked my schedule, no meetings, said I was taking an early lunch, got there in time, got my allotment, and was back in the office 42 minutes later. Lucky I didn't have anything going on, and it worked out for me today. They went through 19 cases very quickly.

 

Arrowine got their shipment of Hopslam in like 20 minutes before I got there at lunch to grab some of Hardywood's Bourbon Sidamo. ChurchKey is supposed to get their Hopslam in tonight. TotalWine McLean should get theirs in today if the other TW got theirs today.

 

Oakton wine shop will most likely get some sometime in the near future.....

 

It should hit DC on Wednesday according to "the guy behind the guy".

 

TW in Alexandria had some. 1 6pack limit per customer. Had about 4 cases left at 5pm. $21 per, if I recall.

If you get there and they are out, Nuggett Nectar arrived today, so that's a decent consolation prize.

 

and a ton of nugget nectar to boot at TW Springfield!

 

I've been hearing Wednesday as well from a couple of shops in NW DC.

 

1 West Dupont just called and told me that they received a case...but at $9.99 per bottle (2 bottle limit), I will respectfully pass.

 

Ouch. That is thievery.

 

I agree. I was pretty excited to get my hands on some this week, and was naturally expecting to pay a little extra; but at a price that equates to roughly $240 a case, it simply isn't worth it. Hopefully other shops are able to get more in so they can sell it at a somewhat reasonable price.

 

That place is absurd. They gouge on everything. I wish people would stop giving them money and rewarding them for their shady practices.

 

You mean you weren't going to buy that 10-12 week old bottle of Blind Pig on the shelf for $30 bucks??? Barmy has one also (another place you should avoid entirely...)

Barmy Wines and Liquor just got it less than an hour ago. Selling per bottle, but I didn't get a price dangit.

I was down in DC for work today and swung by Whole Foods on P Street and Connecticut Ave Liquors. Both had a few cases of Hopslam but at $25.99 a 6 pack I passed.

looking at the local twitter accounts, IOTA, whitlows, and talulla are bottles only else I would of hit them up tonight
