Yeah, this is shaping up to be an epic beer weekend. Don't worry, though, I have a feeling there will be enough Hopslam to go around.

Whole Foods has it for $15.99 and also has it on draft for $6 a pint at the grill area in the middle of the store. $23 all together, love it!

Anyone know if they continue to sell pints after 9pm? (missing all night liquor sales)

Next up for all WI Hopheads will be New Glarus IIPA which is scheduled to be out early next month - last year's batch was quite possibly the Double IPA released (including Hopslam, Palate Wrecker, ect.)

I would think so, though they're only open until 10pm. I've never tried, but $6 is an incredible price for a full pint!

Woodman's Kenosha has about five cases left. One six-pack limit.

    Keno Woodman's dated 1/16/14, and I believe it was $16.99 a six

    I just picked up a 6 pack with a 1/16/14 date today.

The talks of the distributors is all on par for what I've seen. We still don't have dogfish head yet. I tend to get more answers when I talk with the breweries directly.

fwiw ... I did a quick back-to-back between hopslam and 3sheeps first kiss (IIPA w/honey). First kiss was rougher around the edges, but not too bad.

I enjoyed last years NG IIPA, but I didn't think it was in the same league as those IIPA's. Definitely not a hop monster like Palate Wrecker or Pliny, and a little too sweet (sweeter than Hopslam, which has the perfect balance IMO). But I'm excited to see how Dan might have tweaked the recipe this time around.

Where did you get the info that IIPA is coming out next month?

New Glarus put up their beer schedule for the first six months during the first few days of 2014', showing that IIPA would be the Thumbprint release in March. They have since chopped down their beer schedule for just the first 3 months of 2014'. All indications from that info & a distributor I talked to is that IIPA will be the next Thumbprint release.

I really thought the balance of the NG IIPA was right on the mark - aroma, hops, sweetness, lingering hops, & great mouthfeel. I sent a few bottles to friends in Santa Rosa, CA (where they practically live at Russian River Brewing) and they LOVED it. Also anxious to taste Dan's / Sierra Nevada beer to be released later this year.

I spent ten years in San Diego, but didn't get to try NG's IIPA fresh (3-4 months old). I'm excited to try it right out of the gates.

I know he's been working really hard to find the right hops for the ESB. One of my favorite styles, so I'm hoping they nail it.

It's really god damn good, probably my favorite hoppy WI offering (there's a lot of smaller breweries whose offerings I haven't had yet so).
