Crap, going to the 'D' from Chicago on Wednesday and was all confident I could load uip on the H-slam. I have a pic from last year of the Gen Store's cooler loaded with 2-3 pallets. Crazy

general question from an inquiring mind, I hear about people looking for cases of this stuff and was wondering, do people really enjoy more then one six pack of this beer? I mean its really good for like a month, but I typically get sick of it after about the 4th bottle, who are these case buyers? I assume you people are sharing with friends or throwing a party or something, right?

Why can you only drink four bottles? I can drink a case of beer in a month easily.

You'll be able to find plenty it in 'the D'. More will be coming to the stores on Wednesday from what I understand, and it's not like it's sold out everywhere either.

I enjoy variety, I get tired of drinking the same thing. I guess there are people that could drink this beer every day for a month a couple a day for 15 days.

I like variety as much as the next person. But its hard to pass up a proven winner.

Pretty sure I could drink only Sucks and regular BCBS for the rest of my life, with much fun. Hopslam could take the place of Sucks, if it was easier to get. The first couple days there are always cases stacked up around Chicago, but it goes quick and I've never had the chance to buy it for more than a week or 2. I haven't really had the opportunity to get sick of it.

The trope of Hopslam becoming unenjoyable a month after bottling is pretty greatly overstated.

For me, I'll be sharing it with my wife, my friends, etc., so not all my beer buying is just for me.

And for a really great IPA, I definitely don't get sick of them after 4.

So yeah, I'll typically pick up a case.

Last year I bought two cases plus a sixer of Hopslam. Between my wife and I drinking it, and sharing some, it was gone in about two months. I enjoyed it just as much with a few months on it as I did when it was a week old.

contrary to what some people might say, hopslam stays pretty tasty for a few months if kept cold. i buy as much as my wallet will reasonable allow me. probably end up with 2+ cases and thoroughly enjoy every ounce. and like people said, some of it gets shared....some. this time of year i need to take some beer out of my beer fridge to make room for hopslam and lagunitas sucks.

This won't work for the guy asking for stuff yesterday, but D&W has a 15% off beer (4/6 packs) on Friday and Saturday this week; perfect time to snag some sixers of Hopslam.

I see (on twitter) that Hopslam is starting to hit Chicago. Specifically Binnys South Loop and Castle Vav. Any other places please share.

Here's mountain 1 of 2 at Castle Vav. I'd estimate they had around 50 cases as of this afternoon.

I went on my annual HopSlam trek yesterday, and got all that I needed for me and my friends. Just enough. I left plenty on the floors. It seems like today will be the day that everyone who is getting it will finally have it. With all the other options abounding (DirtWolf, SUCKS, Abrasive, soon to come Hi-Res....), my fridge has quite the perfect variety.

Really need to start taking notes. . .

Not at all how I remember this beer. Disappointed, after all the amazing IPAs I've had in the last year.
