Hopslam - Philly & SE Pennsylvania

    Wanted to create a thread for sighting or known release dates in the area for Hopslam. I've called a few places, but all I can get out of them is "soon."

    The first day it was available for sale in the area was at Shangys yesterday. So all of the stores have to wait for their delivery to come during the course of the week.

    I know this isn't exactly the same area but for those a bit West (Harrisburg/York area), Hopslam probably has come and gone. I bought 2 6 packs in Adams County last Wednesday (dated 1/9/15). Westy's must have gotten theirs a week earlier than Shangy's and distributed then.

    Shangys deliveries and sale of HopSlam got pushed back from the "historic" blizzard that was called for in the Philadelphia area last week.

    Saw bottles at Monde Market in Center City this afternoon. Think they were going at $5/bottle. Not sure if any are still there.

    I got mine from Trenton Road Takeout yesterday. They had some bottles for sale to those not on their "list". 1 per person at $4 a bottle. Could be long gone by now.

    Just goes to show you how crazy the craft beer movement has become.:grimacing:

    I attended the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp beer festival in Philly last summer. I just could not get over how long the line was to get a sample pour of Pliny the Elder.

    Yep, its nuts!!:astonished:
