Meijer in Waterford only received 4 cases of it and I missed it by 20 minutes apparently. Lakeways Market, a nearby party store had much more of it - limit 1 per. Plenty available at the moment. The guy at Lakeway said he expects a much bigger second shipment and won't limit it the second go around.

 

Bells just updated Facebook.

Sold Out at general store for now. Will be re-stocked later this week.

yow, its a hop bomb this year. makes the honey flavors more noticeable, imo. definite alcohol burn. pairs well with medicinal cannabis.

 

Are you sure it was Hopslam?
The only pallet they have is Two Hearted lol

Maybe I need to re calibrate, I remember this being a very malt forward which I liked a lot. I'm getting hot, booze forward.

 

Have to say that the honey is really prominent. The closer the brew reaches room temperature the sweeter silkier it is. I would also recommend not drinking this while eating food just because the 10% ABV will certainly let you know it is there and overpower every thing else you might taste.

On a side note,I guess it is worth it to look around. I just went out to the local tiny grocery store to pick up some frozen pizza and found around 20 sixers. Had to pick up another.

dude, was it refrigerated and cool? i see you bought it a minute before you posted this.

i had mine cooling for over 5 hours and it was still hot and boozy. i can only imagine what they tasted like if relatively warm.

 

Ann Arbor Meijers all have copious amounts of Hopslam right now. You should have no prob finding some. I just bought a $10 bottle of a Worldwide Stout at Meier and there was a pallet of Hopslam sitting next to the beer aisle

 

Does anyone know for the Chicago burbs if I should head out tomorrow and check Woodmans, Binny's, etc or will it be later in the week?

Should be sometome this week, if you're in the Chicago area shipments usually happen in the middle of the week for Bells.

I'm going to pop my head in my local Binny's and see when they might get there local shipmen in.

Pretty stoked, love this beer so much.

Hopslam was one of my favorites when I first started getting into beer. Always look forward to it!
