Another post about Michigan beer from me again. lol How is the availability of hopslam down here since the release is just right around the corner? I just want to know how it is down here so I can have someone send some from back home but would be much better to just grab from one from the store if possible.

Last year it was 2 sixers per person at total wine I visited. It was released mid January and thy had black note at 1 four pack per person as well although that may be tougher this year from what Ive heard.

This year id expect the likes of abc and total to get hopslam, as well as luekens Liquors and Jan's boos and wines down in your area. Hope that helps.

With the way some Total Wine's have been lately, I wouldn't be surprised at one six pack limit. They get a *ton* though normally and you can likely find it in a variety of locations.

Thanks a lot I almost forgot black note was pretty much the same time.

Past couple years Hopslam has been stacked to the ceiling in Georgia. No bottle limits up here. YMMV.

Worth a yearly try, so many good dipas on the market now, if Sucks is around its a better brew . Just my opinion of course, I bought on tap only last year, wouldn't fork over $18 a six.

Yeah, but it flies out in Atlanta, and places do limit it.

I managed 2 sixers at best last year at some shit hole store and they were the next to the last ones left!

I wish this was true in FL. As far as regularly available "good DIPA's" we have very little, and finding what little we have fresh is an even bigger challenge.

The fresh thing is a challenge anywhere, if it's not dated or a special release I know is fresh I pass. Old stale overly malty IPAs disappoint.

One thing I like about hopslam is it doesn't fall off a cliff for some time, or at lesser that's been my experience so I try and save a few for spring time and they still taste great! Hoping Florida gets a decent amount this year and it isn't a PITA to track down!

I'm hoping I get a taste this year since last year it seemed to have vanished in seconds in SFL.

Mentioned there are so many good DIPAs on the market now. I wonder if that is why you have barely heard anything about Hopslam on the forums this year. This thread is first "recent" thread I have seen about Hopslam.

I hope to find some this year as I got skunked last year, but i've been drinking Lagunitas Sucks for a couple of weeks and just may like it more than Hopslam, not to mention its 8 to 10 dollars cheaper per 6 pack.

Usually sells out within an hour or two of release at a store, gotta be on the hunt and also be willing to take off work to get it.

I am a huge fan of both but have to say sucks taste almost as good and much cheap and a lot easier to get.
