Has anyone been to/tried the beers at the Horny Toad Brewing CO in Rowena, TX? They have really weird hours & I always seem to miss them on the day they are open.
About a year and a half or so ago my wife and I tried a couple of their beers at Horny Toad Pub and Grub in Snyder. They liked that the branding was similar to their own so Horny Toad beers were their only craft beers. We had the amber and I think a wheat at the time but it may have been their cream ale? They weren't offensive but nothing I searched out for. I also don't know the last time the taplines were cleaned of course.
I'm not sure what their status is or what their hours are with the covid thing. They used to be open the first Saturday of the month. I've had several of their beers and the Angelo Amber and Mesquite Bean Brown really stand out for me.I will have one of these if I find them available (they frequently run out) at some of the San Angelo restaurants. I've tried their IPA and porter and while good they didn't register in my mind as something I would go back to. I've been to the brewery a couple of times and they were also beverage vendors at a really cool Ballinger street concert.
