    Hi All,

Huge pumpkin ale fan hear and looking to find some horseheads. I read an article that they started 'distributing' to the poughkeepsie. I called Half Time (beer store) because I'll be out that way for the Headless Horseman next weekend and the beer guy told me he has to go pick it up which won't be until mid-october. Driving the 5.5 hours to horseheads isn't an option for me so I was looking for some help on finding some closer to the poughkeepsie area if anyone has any tips.

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure how far you are willing to drive but Brew Crew in Albany carries Horseheads. You could call them and see they have the pumpkin ale in. If you don't find it next weekend let me know as I head out to Central , NY to visit the in-laws and always stop in for a tasting.

DeCiccos Brewster carries all of their stuff--cant say for certain they will have it but i picked up numerous Horseheads from them in the past--might be worth a call

Thanks man! I called them and they "anticipate it coming in the next 2 weeks". I'll be rolling through Brewster on the 20th so hopefully I get lucky!

They make a great pumpkin ale. I would put it in my top 5 right now of pumpkin beers.

hmm I swear yesterday I saw in the comments of one of their facebook posts regarding pumpkin ale that they would be sending to NYC. However, I just double checked and now I don't see that post.

Its been available in the taproom and in the local area for a while now and is definitely worth seeking out when it gets out to the rest of the world. Its definitely one of the top pumpkin beers that Ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying and is much closer to a rich, pumpkin pie than most of the other pumpkin offerings out there. Also worth mentioning is Cortland Beer Company's pumpkin ale which is also very good.

I guess I should have specified two more weeks til we get it over here in Westchester/surrounding area land. My fault.

Horseheads Pumpkin is terrific, got to try it once. If you can find it, look for Hoppin Frog Double Pumpkin, very good beer too that I tried for the first time yesterday.
