Humorous, albeit rather out of context.

    Here are the results:

    We had 4 single IPAs:
    -Abita Jockamo
    -Stone IPA
    -Bear Republic Racer V; and
    -Russian River Blind Pig.

The latter 2 were my clear favorites, and EVERYONE loved the Bear Republic Racer V, which I gave a 95/100. Super awesome; it's out now, so grab some if it comes to your neck of the woods. I gave the Jockamo an 87; the Stone IPA an 84; and the Blind Pig a 92. Everyone seemed to have pretty similar views on the 4 Single IPAs.

A couple of my friends who have had Stone IPA before thought that the bottle might have been a bit old/off, since they've liked it much better in the past.

We did 5 Double/Imperial IPAs. The views were a bit more divergent, here. I ranked them thusly:
    1) Victory Hop Wallop. This shocked me, as it's reasonably-priced and year-round brew. I gave it a 98.
    2) Avery Maharaja: 96.
    3) Hopslam: 94.
    4) Pliny the Elder: I gave it a 92. This was the highest-rated beer in the bunch. It doesn't make it out to the East Coast at all, except for randomly in PA.
    5) Bear Republic Racer X. I gave it a 91. This was the first time they've ever bottled Racer X. The friend with the best-developed palate of the group loved it, although he did the pouring, so he also knew what it was. It was still quite good, and my taste buds may have been shot, since we had already had ~4oz of 8 other IPAs (plus 1 coffee porter).

Others like Hopslam best, and my aforementioned friend like the Racer V best. So, there was a mixed bag here. I can't wait to taste Hop Wallop again next time I need an IPA. I still have a 16.9oz Blind Pig in the fridge to finish first.
