It is pretty much unanimous that beer is best cold, or for a few styles at room temperature. But who has actually drank hot beer? I hadn't until five minutes ago, when I put a couple ounces of SN Torpedo into the microwave... and it wasn't completely awful. It reminded me of hot cider, except hoppy instead of sweet. If I had any chocolate stout, I would try the same experiment, maybe the result would be something like hot cocoa? I plan on trying this again with different beer styles, and who knows, maybe this could be the start of something great.

La Dragonne is a beer meant to be served warm. I've never tried it, but I'm sure that one day my curiosity will get the best of me ... probably when I make far more money when I do now.

not quite hot beer, but when i brew in the winter ill take some hot wort and mix it with scotch for a "hot scotchy". quite a nice little drink that makes the scotch waaaay too drinkable.

I had Unibroue's Quelque Chose both hot and on the rocks (as per Unibroue's recommendation). I liked it hot.

    That sounds delicious.

Yeah that does sound good. What were you brewing when you added the wort, and how did the "hot scotchy" taste?

I have had La Dragonne. It is okay, if you like a warm ginger drink on the ski hill.
