Argh! They were in Austin??

 

Cool seeing Chow, Rainer, Bruce, Diego, Russell, and Hookem at Hay Merchant. Prolly left out some as I don't remember that night.

 

Hard to believe, because no one I know ever heard a word about it, but according to their schedule, yes. Does a anyone know if this actually happened in Austin?

 

Didn't this happen over a week in Austin this past fall? Im pretty sure it did. I remember hearing about it

 

It definitely happened at Star Bar/Brew Exchange and Wright Bros Brew and Brew based on Untappd checkins.

 

Wow. Apparently there was no advertising for this, or I just somehow missed it all entirely. I knew they did an event last Fall, but never saw this one at all. Sad panda

 

Thats what i thought. Remembered the scavenger hunt as well. Hell Hopfields even had an event where they were pouring King Henry and Rare.


No wonder KBS and Uncle Jacobs sits on shelves for a while in Austin

 

It may be the worse thing in my life that I wasn't there for that.

 

Had the BCBCS 2011 at Little Woodrows yesterday. Amazing!!

Hey there, did anyone notice bourbon county or there variants available at liquor stores around Houston for this event? I know other migration events (Boston for example) had vanilla, and 09' bombers as we'll as 2013 bcbs and bcbw

 

I believe Spec's Smith Street had several varieties of Bourbon County available during the Migration Week that was announced via Twitter. However, this also coincided with President Obama's visit to the Crown Plaza resulting in a massive traffic jam around the area that day. I am not sure what they had, as I did not want to fight the traffic.

 

Spec's had a trivia contest. Reps from Goose Island were there and they asked Goose Island related questions. Looking up answers on your phone was encouraged, but you had to actually have the answer ready before raising your hand. Anyway, they had 4 packs of BCBS and BCBCS and bombers of Backyard available. Answer a question right, pick a 4 pack or bomber. After they ran out of questions (30ish) they opened the floor and let people buy almost all they wanted. Quite an expensive spur of the moment trip to Spec's.
