Houston Regular Tasting Feb 9th

    And its that time again.

    The regular tasting at the Gingerman. Feb 9th at 1:30.

    Bring something the bar does not have, buy something from the bar, and tip well.

    I won't be able to make this one. I'll be in Illinois for my Nephew/Godson's baptism, and my best friends wedding. So, have fun without me.

    I should be at this one. This will make my third straight Sunday attending a tasting.

    Something to mule around right now. I would like to do the next style tasting at D&T. Which would be funk & sour :slight_smile: I was thinking April 27th (the last Sunday of April), or the last Sunday in May. D&T really wants us to do a tasting there, and it is a great place. We would probably be in the back patio if the number of people that go to these things stays the same. It would be nice to do this before the temps become the surface of the sun, so that is why I am suggesting this a little early.

    If people want to do the Sunday Funk a little later, I still would like to have a tasting there around this time. Doesn't have to be a style tasting either. Just something to think about. If people are the usual indecisive, I will just do it :slight_smile:

    Fantastic.

    I've done a few shares at D&T and the back is perfect for them.

    I'm out this month, but all on board in the future - although, I'd still like to find the chuckledicks that abused the downtown Saucer tasting setup.

    Just hearsay at this point, but allegedly a non-BA (or at least non-BA usual suspects) crowd got a little too rowdy there, and future events there are suspended until further notice. Beyond that, I have zero details.

    If that was in reference to the alleged fist fight, someone told me about that at the last style tasting. Bummer :slight_frown:

    I thought there was an incident at another Saucer not the Houston location that had the problem. Thus LAW was brought down throughout the company across the country.

    we were told the same at the petrol station last saturday. except it was due to people not buying food/tipping, and of course SHARING!

    damn, shame.


    will be at D&T later today around 7 with some noir and bomb! my buddy works there and said they will have it today on tap too.

    Regardless, I'll miss the Saucer. Went to my first BA tasting there several years ago. But I suppose bottle shares in general at places that serve liquor aren't exactly on the up and up.

    thats one of the main reasons why i don't go to bottle shares (via public announcement)
    i get it, people wanna TASTE ALL THE BEERS and thats cool....
    im just easily annoyed by peeps who lack self control..
    anyways, looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing familiar faces.
