11 Below is the best brewery in the immediate area.
The Shack on telge has good burgers and beer.
May be able to make it down to Brash or Petrol Station one evening depending on how mobile you are.

 

Highly recommend Petrol Station (Brash Brewing and Petrol Station have the same owner).

 

OP, it's not like you need another reason to visit the Petrol Station, but they been doing $2 beers during the Astros WS games. I don't know of that will happen tonight, but I suspect it will.

 

If I was in Houston, that would be my go to...Epic!

 

For room beers and take homes check out Total Wine which is right there next to you. They will usually have fresh Yellow Rose. If you don't want to head into downtown, Whole foods is a few miles from where you are at and they always have fresh bottles of yellow rose. The Shack does have a good tap list if you don't feel like heading downtown. Unfortunately 11 below is only open on Thursday thru Sunday.

 

Not sure how mobile you are but no one's mentioned Hay Merchant & the downtown Flying Saucer.

Both have great tap lists; Hay Merchant has the better food.

 

8th Wonder is such a let down.

Im a local and am saying that. Their beer is nothing to write home about.

Seriously - check out Hay Merchant & Flying Saucer. Petrol Station too. Many local options and you cant go wrong with their beer selections.

^^Nice find. I think it rocks more when the weather is cooler due to the layout. Can be quite brutal in the summer

 

Definitely true - I think due to the layout & our humidity, most Houston Advocates dont think to mention it.

That, and - for the life of me, I can never find an accurate online tap list for Moon Tower. If there's a place to go to see what they current have on tap, then please let me know.

I have Untappd but dont use it often. Always felt like it wasnt the most user-friendly.
