Just wondering. Mostly because our Bud rep at my store says we need more of a goose island selection before we can get any. We have 312Wheat and PA, their IPA, along with Sofie and Matilda. Wtf else do we need?! Honkers and Harvest DO not sell.. We still have a six'er of Honkers with a '14 date, lol, NOT on the shelve of course.. Our rep is just a bitch about taking some stuff back. We're also cramped for space to keep cold sixe'rs. I was also wondering which one is most common/rare? I noticed there is quite a few of them.

Yea, they'll want you to sell Honkers to get BCBS and their variants.

Not very available at all out here, and frankly I couldn't care less. Better barrel-aged stouts can be had far more easily that aren't sold by InBev.

I never saw it in my part of Virginia until this year. Suddenly, it popped up this year with a reasonable supply. Odd, I bought a 4 pack from our Kroger and they don't sell anything but honkers and variety packs.

First year for my area was in 2013. We got hit with BCBCS, BCBS, and BCBBW.

This past year, We only got BCBS. We had a GI rep lecture us before each of us was about to drop $100 on BEER about needing to buy other GI products so that we would get allocated with the more "rare" stuff.

I saw this same fool at Total Wine just minutes after I was at his "beer store" buying up his own allotment of $20 BCBS. I'm glad dude is a beer fan, and maybe he's letting "others" get beers from his own work account. But it just looks bad when dude is saying we should buy up GI 312 and their IPA crap in the same store, when he and I both don't buy from that original place. Instead We're both sneaking off to Total Wine. Don't disparage me when I'm about to drop some serious money in one of your account stores.. I shoulda said something to that guy as he ratted off to a Total Wine that had it $3 cheaper than his own accounts place.

Speaking with people inside the industry, access to BCS is based on the volume of regular Goose Island beers sold at the respective location during the course of the year. (If I'm wrong, someone please correct me so I'm not giving bad information.)

Fascinating. So does the volume of Bud Light Lime-A-Rita sold determine your allocation of Budweiser Black Crown, or is it the other way around?

Alaska hasn't got any Bourbon county varients at all. But I ain't worried about it when I can run over to Anchorage Brewing and grab a glass of Deal With the Devil or Darkest Hour on the reg

In San Diego, only the **** gods carry such a thing. I was lucky enough to get one bottle, but I paid $15.00. I wanted to wait but I wanted to taste the precious.

I have found it fairly easy to get bottles of the "normal" stuff in the Los Angeles area.

Pretty limited. I think all my local shops were out within an hour or two. I waited in line for about 45 mins and only got two bottles of BCBS. I did manage to get BCBS and BCBW on tap at the same place, but those were gone quickly as well.

In southeast VA we don't see much in the way of variants (I got 1 bottle of coffee), but the standard BCBS was pretty easy to come by.

You have to be on a list to get any in NJ.

To my knowledge, not a single bottle of BCBS is distributed to the state of WV. However it has been pretty easy for me to get across the border in KY, VA, OH, and usually if I offer up a nice trade on the forums I can secure a case annually without much effort.

@OP: Your bud rep WILL pick up the out of date product... I'm sure you have a Bud Portfolio manager in your region that would love to hear that you have a sales rep not willing to pick up out of date product. A-B/InBev's entire business model revolves around having the freshest beer on the shelves.

As for BCBS, my shop received 30 cases of BCBS, 2 Coffee, 2 Barley wine, and 1 Vanilla Rye. We have a Goose Island display in our shop nearly year-round to support this.

This is mostly true. At least as far as wholesaler-to-retailer goes, there is a 6-month window used to determine who gets what. Some accounts won't bother with it until the end of the year, knowing that can put on goose kegs for a month straight and shoot to the top of the list.

In RVA we had decent distro on regular but there may have been two, maybe three cases of coffee for the entire central VA area from what I understood.

As for allotments going to stores that play ball, yes, that's true to a certain degree. But, if the account is a big spender (someone mentioned Kroger, I saw AAFES with BCBS, etc.,.) than they're going to get theirs. I guess once the reps get beat up by big spenders, they have to take out their frustration on indies and push GI beer that doesn't move and hold BCBS hostage until the indie buys several cases of beer they don't want or need.
