I was traveling and came across a store with brews I have read about here but never had
Tell me how much I overpayed....
What do you pay for these?

BCBS Bourbon County Brand Stout(2012) -never seen it for sale anywhere and they had 2 4 packs left-owner said they were the last 2 in the area. He said his allocation was only 2 cases
PAID $24.99/4 pack -never paid that much in my life for a beer-havent tried it yet
Bells 2 Hearted Ale- I enjoyed this a lot-very well balanced
    PAID $11.99/ 6 pack
Founders Centennial IPA bottled approx 45 days ago not a big hop flavor but it was a different more floral less citrusy than I expected -maybe centennial hops? If so hadnt had many brews with that variety
    PAID $11.99/ 6 pack
DC Brau-The Corruption-wow huge hop profile almost astringent, great nose
    PAID $10.99/ 6 pack
    Stone RuinTen-havent tried bomber
    PAID $8.99/bottle

The only one that seems high is BCBS. I paid $18.99/4 pack.

Plenty of people would gladly pay 25 bucks a 4pack of BCBS that's nearly a year old.

Just because people would gladly pay an arbitrary inflated price for a product doesn't mean that you're not getting screwed. That's why I said it *seems* high.

Not at all, except on the Centennial. That should have been closer to $9.99

I'm from MI and those Bell's/Founders 6-packs are $10.99 at my stores, so not too bad of a mark-up there. I think I paid the same for RuinTen. I don't think we get the others here so I can't say for those.

I paid exactly that much for my 4pks of BCBS in NOVA and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I would in a heartbeat. None of these prices are rapey. Some maybe a dollar or two more than the absolute best price out there but if you hunt down those stores you have to call them, drive to them, park, and they probably won't have all of that in stock under one roof. If your effort + time + gas money is worth saving $10 on that haul at most then by all means go for it.

I wouldn't say they screwed you. A little heavy on the markup, but not too bad.

Seems a bit high all around, but really depends on where you're shopping at. I'd say probably 10% higher than usual retail price across the board, probably just the store owner making slightly better margins. Not gouging by any means.

Never had DC Brau or Bells, the others are pretty much just what I paid. Ignore quoted California prices for Stone, in bombers they're always $2-3 higher here on the right coast.

Everything sounds a buck or two too high, but come on you found BCBS for sale in a random store for 25 bucks.

    Nice score

Not as bad as I did. I paid $11.99 for a single bottle of '12 BCBS back in January.
Then again, it's not distributed here...

A couple of those are a dollar or two higher than they should be but at least these are all really tasty beers. It'd be much worse if you were getting hosed for some sub-par stuff.

Looks like about a 10% mark up on everything to me, based on Minny prices.
