How do I change my avatar?

    Hover over your user name to the left of "inbox" and then click on "avatar" on the menu that pops up.

    Go to your profile page(click on your username) and click on the stock photo BA gives you and it will give you an option to upload a photo.

    You can't do it in the app. You have to be on the desktop view of BA. Then it's a matter of clicking on your profile and the clicking your avatar to upload a photo.
