Unless you own a bar, you're SOL. From their website: Sorry, we do not sell kegs to the public at this time. http://www.trilliumbrewing.com/wordpress_blog/tasting-roomfaq/
If you are cozy with a bar owner you could go through them. The issue with doing that in CT is they collect tax at the time of sale to the bar based on the anticipated sales from the keg, or at least they used, not sure of the current set up. I had considered that route for DFH before kegs were available in my market and even though the log cost the bar something reasonable, it was like $110 once it had the tax added.
I have been looking at the same thing. I am getting married this September and I want to get a keg of NEBCO or something for the night. I have pretty much been told to go through the distributor. I don't know about Trillium but if they don't sell to the public maybe you can get one through the distributer. Hope you get one.
Well your problem isn't such a big deal because NEBCO does sell kegs to the public through distributors.
This would be against the terms of the bar's license in MA. And given that bars answer to the local licensing commission which tend to extract serious quid pro quo, most have no interest in playing fast and loose with the rules.
yeah. and we wouldn't be too happy if we found out this was going on. with our very small size, we just can't do kegs out to people yet for a number of reasons, as much as we wish we could say yes to everyone...people enjoying our beer is the whole reason why we got in to this! so its pretty weird for us to have to say no. but we have to (for now). in any case, thanks for all who inquire about getting some fort point, congress street, or any of our other beers on draft...we just have to say no (for now)
It'd be awesome if I could find a small brewery like Trillium, CBC, Idle Hands etc... that would fill one of my 3 or 5 gallon corney kegs.
