I currently have a "keezer" that is rapidly running out of space. I keep all my extras in either my closet or the room my dad can spare in his home wine chiller. I have heard people discuss both home chiller solutions and off site "storage space" temp controlled solutions.

So, what do you do? Why?

I have a shelving system as well as an area underneath my bar, both in my basement. It is easy and effective, that is reason enough for me. My basement stays pretty cool through out the year so I have little incentive to make any changes.

Large plastic bin from Target kept in the dark in an unused closet. Why? It's cheap.

Wooden shelves my dad built when I was like 5 in the basement. Working on building this: Just bought all of the wood this week, construction starts on Friday. Made to hold Cantillon, 3F, Hanssens, ect..

I've got a standard sized fridge that is at capacity now. I've got a few cases of stuff at my girlfriend's house as well. lol.

I use a kegorator that I modified and added a shelf. My capacity isn't where I'd like it to be but I don't have a good spot for a full size fridge right now. I cranked the temp up and it holds around 50 degrees and so far so good. I do have to move some beers into my regular fridge every now and then because of lack of space but it works pretty well. I live in Austin, TX and it can get hot as hell here so a closet isn't going to work and there's no such things as basements within 500 miles of here...

Most of our second fridge, a whole mini fridge and about six cases in the closet in my garage. Dark, dry and cool but not much to look at. It works for now.

I also use my basement. I have a nice Target brand bookcase. I think thats a good way to go.

I use crawl space in my basement - no light whatsoever and temp stays around 60. If I ever run out of space, then I should seek professional help.

I have a decent size room in my basement that stays between 50-60 all year. I just store all the beer in cases on the floor. It doesn't look great but it gets the job done.

I have those same bookshelves just larger. I keep my beers on those shelves in the basement year round and I usually keep them in a box or bag to further prevent light from getting in. I don't have a huge collection and nothing too outrageous in price so I am not too worried about it.

Buy a cool old piece of small furniture at a yard sale or second-hand store.

This is not mine but I like it: http://i.imgur.com/rTpkj.jpg

That is going to look awesome when you finish it. Seems like there is a lot of wasted space in the upper middle area of the shelf though. You could easily add another cube of bottle holders to fit 12 more bottles...

Going to add in some lights. The tilted section will be for displays, and I plan on putting up some kind of list in the empty space of what's in the racks.

That make sense. I would love to see the pic once you have it finished and stocked...

Basement storage area that stays below 60 just about all year around. Everything is in case boxes but I'm quickly running out of room...might have to transfer it all to an off-site wine storage place but I'm not at that point yet.

I store in my basement that is pretty constant (below 15C) year-round. Two big shelving units for now. I'll probably get a tilted wine rack for the corked Cantillons, sours, etc.

I have an old, wooden toybox in a basement that stays pretty cool year round. It holds about 30-40 bottles. The kids know to stay the hell out of daddy's toys!

Similar to my set-up. My cellar is a very small storage room under the basement stairs, where the temperature is usually around 50. I try to keep most bottles in case boxes to hide light.
