Like wise a children's car seat is awesome for strapping in a growler!

Oh, I'll tell you my wife's favorite way to transport beer, she say's this all the time, "by little brown men on a warm sandy beach."

I have a bunch of thermal grocery bags in my trunk--I usually double them up and fold one up between bombers. These bags were like $3 ea, and sold by the freezer cases in my supermarket--foil, insulated, and zipper closure. Pretty great. I have a CaddyO that I use when taking a single bomber.

If I'm only going across town with a small haul, then I use a cheap insulated wine carrier. It has a zipper around the top, lots of thick insulation, and holds two wine bottles with a padded divider in between. Perfect for bombers and 750ml. It can also hold 6 12oz bottles or cans although I have to fight it a little. If I need more than that, I break out the ice chest.

    Smiley opener sold separately.

I am so glad to hear I am not the only person to have done this! Was starting to question my parenting skills by transporting beer where my child was supposed to be.

On the plus side my son LOVED the feel of the breeze from the bed of my truck on the drive home from the brew pub, don't worry though I strapped him in with Bungee cords.

Never very well, as if I'm bringing beers out of my house, its usually a last minute. You guys would be appalled.

I grab a plastic bag, and i put beers in it. I cringe at the clinking sounds the bottles make, which I move very gingerly to keep to a minimum.

Then, once in the car, I'll stand them upright on the seat next to me so I can keep a hand on them if I'm making a sharp turn.

If its a large amount of bottles (which might just keep themselves up), they might go on the floor of the back seat so itsm out of my sight and I can sorta stop worrying.

From there I exit the car with my hobo plastic bag and again walk gingerly until I reach the fridge/cooler.
