I did not vote, as none of these options captures how I view beer in my life.
I am always on the lookout for a new beer and I'll go out of my way (but won't "do anything") to get it, but I also have a constantly growing bunch of old favorites that I regularly go back to.

In my life, GOOD (yes, I decide) beer occupies a spot on the "Top 10 List" of things I enjoy most in life. Trying new beer is a permanent hobby of mine, a source of relaxation, and a point of pride (my beer knowledge). Should I ever have to give it up, I'd be extremely upset. I also see it as a device to bring people together in my life, both new friends and old. It's a source of reading pleasure, as I subscribe to BA magazine, and even will sit and read beer books. At times, it's even a source of consternation, since my wife, though always willing to try it, inevitably makes a "beer face."

    Did I miss anything?

I have to try new beers all the time to recommend to our customers...I view it as a duty and a privilege...but I have some go to's that I buy when I don't want to "work". I would travel more to different breweries around the country if I could not just for the beers...but to talk to the folks who are snubbing their nose at BMC and returning pride to American craftsmanship...ummm but the beer is nice too

Top 5 for me. Hockey, golf, snowboarding, baseball and beer are all interchangeable depending on the season.

I'm a beer manager at a major liquor store chain here in NJ so I deal with just about every distributor ordering beer, bringing in new things, trying new things they want me to bring in, dealing with beer nerds etc. I drink more than I'd probably like due to samples and the like. Not everything is as tasty as Heady, believe me.

It's fun on the clock, but its way more fun off when I actually get to drink the damn stuff.

Definitely have the fridge regulars, but 90% of it is a single bottle of this or a grumbler of that, with very little repetition.

i love trying new beers and i try to include beer anywhere i go ie. vacation, grocery shopping, hanging out with friends. but it does not take over my life completely. i have a passion for surfing that is greater than my love for beer. surf 2 live. live 2 surf. surf or die!

It's my relaxer in my life. Between working a lot and taking care of the family, beer is my mistress.

I currently have over 40 different varieties in my fridge, and a 1/2 barrel on tap. So, yeah, I am a big fan. And I don't mind driving a few hours with some beer loving friends (or my awesomely understanding and fun wife) to get some great stuff...

Was just going to post this exact same thing! Instead of:
"I live for new beer and i do anything to get it."
    It should have said:
"I live for new beer and i WILL go out of my way to get it".

After a bit over a year in craft, I have finally knocked down my cellar enough to enjoy some old faves. That has been enjoyable.

Do I LIVE for a new beer? No. Am I always interested in a new beer? Yes. But, the ultmate is pairing with food. If you can enhance in any way, it would be with food. It would up the taste rating/complexity characteristics 2 fold!
Dunno if any of ya'll surf, but beer before surf...forget it. Slows everything down... and not in the "zone" way. Hence, I do not look for a beer to enhance performance, but look for a beer who's performance is enhanced!
