I just went to a bar that had Allagash Fluxus "Chocolate Stout" on tap. From what I understand, what I had was brewed in 2010 and retired.

To describe it, I reminded me a bit of Ten Fidy with its hoppiness. The aroma was like Brooklyn Double Chocolate.

So did I have this? Or another beer?

Fluxus is a completely different recipe every year. From stout to saison, they never repeat anything from the previous year. The 2010 was indeed a stout, and it was awesome. They've all been great really.

That's why I'm confused. The 2012 isn't a stout. But I surely last night had a chocolate flavored stout...
