I have access to a number of bottles for less than half the going rate of regular Saison DuPont. Unfortunately, they are nearly a year old. I don't mind it now and bought two bottles, but I want to know if I should get more and hold them... or is it just not worth it.

Anyone with experience aging Saison DuPont?

If you can find one that was cared for well, then it is worth it. I have a hard time finding one that hasn't been damaged by light.

Assuming they aren't damaged by light - In what way do they age? How do they change over time? What's the maximum shelf life? Any input is appreciated

My knowledge of aging saisons is limited, but from the brewers I've talked to, aging is generally only advantageous if there's brett or a similarly 'active' ingredient in there. "Standard" saisons are not usually worthwhile agers, far as I know.

My thought, too, but just checking. Some beers age well regardless of the standard conventions of the style

I've had a few of these and my thoughts are this specific beer and similar saisons wouldn't really be worth aging, and also wouldn't be hurt by it either. Save your cellar space for beers and wines more worthy.

+ 1 to the comment on light damage. I have aged 2-3 bottles. The last one I opened was down there for 18-20 months and it was amazing. Zero skunk, and a whole lot of tart, lemony goodness. The other ones were not noticeable different than those bought off the shelf.
In my opinion, buy as many as possible from a boxed source if possible and open them sporadically every 6 months or so.
