I did 14 hours each way in spring for Short's Anniversary party. Well worth it, however I don't know if I'd make the weekend out of it again.

For me if i can't make it there and back in a day it is to far for a "road trip". But a beercation that would last multiple days is a whole other story.

Am I drinking or just picking up beers at a store? It seemed like you were thinking for an actual taproom / bar where I would drink, but this is a key question for me so I will answer both:

Just picking up beers at a store - 30 minutes out of my way, once a week - every week on the way home from work I take a different route that adds about 30 minutes to my commute to stop by my favorite store, hang out and chat to the beer buyer / manager and pick up a few new things to try.
I would make the same trip each week to stop at a really good brewpub to get a growler or something to take home - so call that 15-20 minutes each way.

Drinking at the location - I won't bother going if I have to drive - too much hassle with taxis or getting my car back in the morning (I won't drink and drive). I would happily walk 20 minutes or take a 20-30 minute trip on public transport though for really good beer I can't get anywhere else - would do that once every week or 2.
I would probably stretch that to an hour if it was for a world class take over - for example, I live in a suburb of Chicago, but i took the train in to town mid week for a Surly tap take over. they had Darkness and Surly Eight on tap so an hour each way to have those was totally worth it - I would do that once a month.

Gonna drive to Chicago on Black Friday, that's 1.5hrs. Occasionally go to Plover (probably will for the next few Funk Factory releases and CW 17), that's 3ish hours.

No such thing as to far, If you have the time and the money. I myself would make a trip out of it I like history and national parks and so I would see what's in the area and make the best out of it.

30 minutes if its my best and only real option.

10-15 minutes if I have other decent options but a specific site still sets itself apart from the pack.

Planing to go to Belgium for beer someday so that would be the farthest I would be willing to travel for only beer.

On a regular basis, 45 minutes on average but willing to drive more for special releases, etc.

It has to be worth the drive. Can I get rare or hard to find bottles? Or am I limited to whats on tap?

Regularly a half hour one way, sometimes up to an hour one way. Never much more than that though. Then it just doesn't make sense to me.

Depends on what else is nearer. There are a lot of great places for beer around Philly, but fortunately I've got a handful within 20 mn. There are plenty of places better than these nearby ones, but convenience plays a huge role in my decision making.

I live in Southern NH and I'm willing to drive 3 hours each way to Hill Farmstead if I can get bottles and growlers. But it basically means I have to take a vacation day from work. I'll do the same for a case of Heady. I'll also drive an hour each way to Trillium, Night Shift and Jack's Abby. Bottom line is that if I'm going that far, it really has to be delicious or highly sought after on the trade market...

There is no place I travel to on a regular basis outside of my city for beer. I do stock up when I go to things like KBS, 4 Elf, Dark Lord, Darkness, etc and then trade some of that.

Ill go anywhere if I have the time, but never to Darkness day again. They need to give out numbers as you walk in. People came from all over and were denied because people in the front let all their friends jump the line as they were taking down the hipsters camp grounds. I like Surly but its time to get with the program.
