I remember when I lived in downtown St. Petersburg, FL where I could walk to five different breweries and four different tap houses all within two hours. Cigar City was a short 20 mins away, still trying to figure out why I left....now I'm in a town 30 mins outside St. Louis that is about 2 years behind in the beer game.

I'll drive an hour easily to get good beer. And whenever I'm traveling I usually find one brewery to vist if not more.

No such thing as too far, the wife and I went to VT for our 5 year anniversary and I picked up so much good stuff from there and made a stop in Boston to hit Trillium then went to the Publick House for some lunch. On the way back, we hit up Carton. Kidding as the never too far deal, the furthest I'll go is about 45-hour, that's to Tired Hands, which they seem to never make a bad beer.

Every trip I make is a beer run...if possible...2 years ago, with 2 friends, we hit 21 VT breweries on a three day weekend. I have driven as far as Munster (with a short detour to Detroit) and I regularly make the 12 hour run to Asheville.

This summer I'm hoping to make a run to Denver... although I confess, beer is not the only motive for that run.

~1 hour round trip and that is rare, there is nothing wrong with the beers I can get at my local shops.

I'm currently planning a trip in April to go from MA to Chicago (14 hours) and potentially going to further to Toppling Goliath (22 hours).
