Hi All, So I picked up a keg of Hofbrau Original this past week (on April 9th) and was pleasantly surprised to see that the production date of the keg was February 10th. Considering shipping, customs, etc., I thought this was about as fresh as I could get a German beer in the US, but I wasn't sure. I wanted to see from other's experience and thoughts what would be considered "fresh" and if 2 months is really about as "fresh" as you can expect from a German import? Thanks for the responses!
I'd actually consider that pretty good. I know one of the issues going the other way is that a lot of American craft stuff is coming in bit past its prime.
