Just curious which part of Jersey you're located and which shop is your fav. I too have a few favorites.

My bottle shop is good, but I own it. It would be better, even great with better access to beers, but being on the "frontier" here in eastern Washington, it is though to get things from the west side before they are sold out. Having said all that, we have been pushing the boundaries of great beer here for over 9 years and we are always looking for ways to improve our selections and offerings. I would welcome any BA's ideas about beers they would always like to see on shelves and events that excite them, cheers!

Nikki's liquors, High Spirits and Bottles are all within about two miles of one another in Providence (amongst other solid spots). Any beer that comes to RI which I desire is likely to be found at at least one of those places. Nikki's is great because their mix a six is phenomenal, they have a lot of coolers and they have a room with vintage brews. High Spirits is great because they'll often have many of the "rare" or big-name brews available. High Spirits also has a lot of quality wines for, what seems to me at least, low prices. Bottles has a great selection where I can occasionally get things in sixers that the other spots have in singles or other formats. Bottles also has an awesome whiskey selection. I'm sure all three stores excel in the various areas that I am highlighting for each individually. Regardless, between these three, there's nothing else I need booze-wise.

In my neck of the woods Stella's is simply the best. Great prices, walking distance from me, and the owner is one of the most chilled and laid back people I have ever met. I pretty much buy all my beer from there now; great customer service and great prices will keep me coming back each and every day!

Gave up on shops, buy from breweries or my local tap house, and now rely on trades to try new interesting beers

I have several close by to my hometown of Greenville SC. But only one, Crafted in Simpsonville, has decent selection and it is still relatively small but very personable and great service. But fortunately we have some good breweries here and I'm only an hour drive from Asheville NC where two of my favorites breweries are. (Wicked weed and Burial)
